Reviews & UGC Rewards Terms

These terms apply to Moonessa's incentivised product review program. By submitting a review, you agree that your review may be published subject to Moonessa's review moderation policy. Any reward is offered for an honest review and is not conditional on a positive rating or positive comments.

1. Who may participate

The program is available to customers invited by Moonessa to review a product purchased in an eligible Moonessa online or participating Shopify POS order. Moonessa may require information reasonably necessary to confirm the purchase, customer and order.

2. Reward levels

  • An eligible written product review receives one 10% reward code.
  • An eligible review containing an original, usable photo or video receives one 15% reward code only when the reviewer separately gives Moonessa permission to display that media on moonessa.com.
  • Permission is optional. A customer who does not give media permission may still qualify for the 10% written-review reward.
  • A reward is based on eligibility, not the star rating or sentiment of the review.

3. One reward per order

  • Only one review reward is issued for each eligible Shopify order number, regardless of how many products or reviews relate to that order.
  • If more than one reward level is eligible for the same order, only the highest eligible reward is issued.
  • Separate eligible orders may each earn one reward.
  • Duplicate, copied, automated, misleading, irrelevant or otherwise ineligible submissions do not earn additional rewards.

4. Photo and video permission

For a 15% reward, the reviewer must confirm that they created the photo or video, or otherwise have the right to share it, and grant Moonessa permission to display the submitted media, review, first name and/or submitted social handle on moonessa.com.

This permission does not include paid advertising, email marketing, printed materials, reposting on Moonessa social media accounts or use on other advertising or publishing channels. Moonessa will seek further permission before using the content outside moonessa.com.

The reviewer is responsible for obtaining permission from any identifiable person shown in the content, including a parent or guardian where a child is shown. Permission may be withdrawn for future website display by emailing hello@moonessa.com. Withdrawal does not affect lawful use before Moonessa processes the request and does not create a new or replacement reward.

5. Using a reward code

  • Reward codes expire at 11:59 pm AWST on 31 December 2026.
  • Codes are single use, personal, non-transferable and not redeemable for cash.
  • Codes may be used online at moonessa.com and at participating Moonessa Shopify POS locations.
  • Only one promotional or coupon code may be used in an order.
  • A review reward code may be combined with an eligible automatic website discount or Bundle & Save product discount, but cannot be combined with another promotional or coupon code.
  • Product, channel or checkout exclusions shown at the time of redemption continue to apply.
  • If an order placed with a review reward is cancelled or refunded, the reward code is not automatically reinstated or replaced.

6. Reviews and moderation

Moonessa welcomes honest positive and negative reviews. Moonessa does not require a reviewer to change or remove a negative review to receive a reward or customer support. Reviews may be rejected or removed only for legitimate moderation reasons, including spam, fake or copied content, irrelevant content, unlawful material, offensive content, personal information or content that infringes another person's rights.

Where supported by the review platform, incentivised reviews may be labelled as incentivised and verified purchases may be labelled as verified.

7. Program administration

Moonessa may verify eligibility and withhold or cancel a reward affected by fraud, duplication, technical manipulation or a material breach of these terms. If a technical issue prevents correct reward delivery, contact hello@moonessa.com with the order number used for the review.

Moonessa may amend or end the program where reasonably necessary. A change will not remove a reward already validly earned before the change, except where required to address fraud, error or unlawful activity. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

8. Privacy

Moonessa processes review, order, contact and reward information to verify eligibility, publish and administer reviews, deliver rewards, prevent duplicate rewards and provide customer support. Media is displayed on moonessa.com only where the required permission has been given. See Moonessa's Privacy Policy for further information or contact hello@moonessa.com.
